First Club foals arrive

Spring has sprung with the arrival of two foals from Elite Racing Club's award-winning breeding programme.

Later on Friday evening, 8 March, we were pleased to welcome a first foal from Viola, an attractive bay filly by the 2,000 Guineas winner, Saxon Warrior. Oak Lodge Stud in Ireland report mother and daughter are doing well. There was little chance for rest for the Oak Lodge team, for just five days later the Listed-placed Harmonica produced a healthy chesnut colt foal by Starspangledbanner.

Both Viola and Harmonica were homebred multiple winners in Club colours and hopefully Viola can emulate the promising start that Harmonica has made to her broodmare career, having already produced an above-average three-time winner.
